LOVE MY LAKE
YOUR SPECIAL LAKE, EACH DETAIL PAINTED BY HAND
I started by painting my lake to be able to hang something special up on the walls. Now with over 100 lakes in this collection, I have expanded to offer more items with your special lake on them.
For this collection I’ve partnered with Art of Where, a Canadian company that prints artwork on a variety of items. Clothing items are produced and shipped directly from Art of Where (so you order may be shipped in several parts).
NOSTALGIA
According to the Collins Dictionary, Nostalgia is an affectionate feeling you have for the past, especially for a particularly happy time. As I painted this collection I thought of how it felt when I opened my post box to find a letter and recognized my grandmothers’ handwriting on it, or the time my sisters and I typed up our first newspaper on my mothers old typewriter in our living room on a Saturday afternoon. Something about words of paper, and taking the time to write those words, and to think of others, there is magic in that.
THIS WILD/LIFE
It is amazing what you can really see and enjoy in nature when you stop and sit still. We are so busy sometimes that is it easy to miss the details in nature that are right there; In the trees outside a bedroom window, the wildflowers on the side of the highway, the butterflies and birds busy in the yard.
