Growing Pains

Once in a while with your work you come across a product that is just, like the EXACT thing you need to get the job done. That is how I felt when I came across the Canvas lamp, I was like YES this is it! If you are a maker or artist and have ever tried to film yourself while working, well you know how tricky it can be. My previous set-up before the Canvas lamp was two strategically place stacks of books with a 2x4 set across the stacks and then my phone balanced on top. It wasn’t exactly a speedy or glamorous set-up.

Stuart and Abby saw a gap in the market, makers and artists were wanting to easily film their work for social media and for course creation, but really struggling with this. Oh yes, did I mention it has a built it light with a whole bunch of different settings?

In this episode, Stuart and Abby, the husband and wife team behind the CANVAS lamp, join me to share the story behind their best selling lamp. They share the ups and downs of creating a very popular product, and how working together with their creative community has been key to their success.
